Background
Impact Huntsville/Madison County initiates and creates significant, lasting change, one issue at a time, while developing relationships and networks to sustain the change.
The Impact experience is designed to enable participants to collaborate and translate existing efforts into a comprehensive, long-term action plan to attract and retain the young professional workforce.
This "task force" of community leaders who address specific issues impacting long-term, systemic change. At the end of their program year, they will present the community with a product and serve as catalysts to build systems or infrastructure for change.

Class Membership
Class members consist of Leadership Huntsville/Madison County or Leadership Alabama graduates, graduates from any other Community Leadership program, and some select "subject matter" experts.
Curriculum
One class/topic per year, over six months, meets monthly 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
- Sessions 1 - 3 - SCAN: in-depth study of topic
- Sessions 4 & 5 - FOCUS: process, identify & refine recommended solutions
- Session 6 - ACT: present action plan to reaction panel of community leaders
Criteria
Targeted recruiting by invitation/nomination, 15 - 20 class members. Selection criteria include:
Interest in transforming the community and passion for the selected topic
- Diverse backgrounds (age, gender, ethnicity, career fields, community involvement, experiences)
- Commitment to meeting all program obligations
- Willingness to continue involvement long-term if the project exceeds their initial Impact program year

Application to this class is by invitation. Tuition is $2500, limited scholarships available
