The Leadership Focus program was absolutely amazing. I learned more about our community than I ever thought possible, I developed lasting friendships with local business and city leaders, and I became inspired to get involved in local events. - Troy Trulock, Focus 18, Leadership 23
The Focus agenda has been carefully crafted to educate the class on the essential issues with an efficient approach. In the spring and fall of each year, Focus educates participants of area needs and inspires them to serve. The program includes panel discussions, hands-on tours and interactive discussions with community leaders. Participants examine the History of Huntsville/Madison County, Economic Base, Education, Healthcare, Human Services, Local, State and Federal Government, Public Safety and Quality of Life of the Tennessee Valley in order to become well informed agents of change.
Focus is targeted toward high-level executives and upper-level management, the decision makers within the organization. Participants are selected by a committee of Leadership graduates based on personal integrity, record of achievement in community activities, ability to set and attain goals as demonstrated by significant career/personal achievement, and commitment of necessary time and effort to complete the program. Class participants come from every sector in our community and represent a cross-section of the population.
